Pictures by Kym

11/24/2007

I guess Kym had seen me do this with Dev and decided it was time she take some pictures of her babies. I think the first one is an artistic shot.

She did these all by her self, in a picture that I am not posting you can see me cooking.

How many messes can two little girls make in one day?

This face is deceiving. She decided to stir her water with the tube from inside a marker, then she drank the water. We got most of the black off her face and hands. (For this one I was putting Dev to bed)
I have cat food, popcorn, dry macaroni and a few fruit loops all over my house. Kym helped me clean the table after dinner then she started to pick up some of the cat food mixture. She was so proud of herself she had a small trash can and was putting everything in there. Unfortunately Dev got a hold of it before she could put it in the big trash can.

I will just say Devy loves to play in the cat food. I thought I had out smarted her by putting it in a plastic container that I thought she couldn't get into. Boy was I wrong.

I promise I do watch my kids. I was making lunch when Dev figured out the cat food container. I figured she has it out all ready might as well let her play in it for the day and clean it up after she goes to bed. I really should not think. Something on my vacuum broke, Lew bought the new one he will put on tomorrow. But until then I get to look at cat food and popcorn. Sigh. It really could have been much worse, Kym found and dumped a bottle of BBQ sauce on the back porch, along with laundry soap and a diaper. But they get it from their mother, today I put a tea kettle on the stove then forgot to check it. I kept smelling something bad. It melted the plastic. Big sigh.
But even with all the messes I would not change one thing about my little angels.

Devyn is amazing

Today Devyn came out of the back room without a diaper. I sighed and said where is your diaper. I went to get another one and she went into the bathroom. I followed her and noticed that she had went potty in the toilet. I know it was her cause I had helped Kym in there a few minuets earlier. She wants to be just like her older sister, I really hope she is that easy to potty train. And I have just jinked myself.

Driving advice from the greats

Mom- Don't drive to close to the white line. If you hit lose gravel don't jerk the car back onto the road. You could over correct and roll.

Dad- Leave early then you don't have to speed.
Aunt Sheri- Don't drive in packs of cars. Slow down or speed up to get away from them.

Grandpa Gleave- It is just as easy to drive on the top half of the tank as the bottom. In other words when you hit half a tank go fuel up. Then if you have to make a midnight run you won't have to worry about your tank.

Grandma Gleave- Don't let some one who has had a stroke drive a car. I was "lucky" enough to ride with Grandpa Gleave after his stroke. To be honest he scared me more before the stroke. I went to Cedar city with him, Grandma and Terra when I was a sophomore in high school. He was in the turning lane and went straight, thank heavens no one was in the other turning lane. Then we decided to go over Cedar mountain on the was home. He passed cars on double yellow lines, around a corner more than once.

What is your best driving advice?

Another Jazz game

Mom and Dad just returned from the Jazz game where they had second row seats. If you don't remember Tempe, Ryan, Brittany and I had the same seats a few weeks ago. LOVED IT! I would love to have the same seats again, we were so lucky to get them. I have been to a few games in the past few years and they are always fun. Kym has been to one game and is now begging to go to another one so we can all see her on the TV. She also thinks that high school basketball is the same thing as the Jazz. Mom said she was going to the ball game right after I got home. Kym wanted to call and ask Grandma what channel she would be on. She also asked who I thought would win the Moquis or the Jazz. Hmmmmm... I bet that game will never take place. .

Nice day

Today was such a nice, we went to the store and when we came home the girls didn't even go in the house we were having so much fun I forgot to take the groceries in the house. At one time both girls had their shoes and sock off. They also ate some porridge (snow).
Kym and I also got our hair done today. Kym told Brooke that she wanted the back of her hair long and the top of her hair bald. When I told her that she couldn't have that she wanted at least her bangs bald. Needless to say we will be hiding the scissors for the next while.

Is it to late for Christmas gifts????

Christmas has been over for like two weeks now but I finally got Kym's teacher's their gifts. This is the chocolate covered popcorn Mom made a few months ago*. I wanted to make sure her teacher got a little something cause they are doing a great job. I have heard stories about other preschools and I realize how great her teacher are.
*This is not the actual popcorn Mom made a few months ago. I made this fresh today.

Our new head board and foot board. I LOVE THEM. Just don't look at the night stands or dressers nothing matches. Maybe some day.

Kymmies is a little ham!

Thanks Tempe and Ryan for delivering them. We owe you a big favor.

Jazz game, Before and after.

Britt has better Jazz pictures. We were able to go the the Jazz vs. Golden state on Monday Jan. 5. It was so fun!! We were setting right behind the announcer. If you watched the Game on FSN You probably saw Ryan, Tempe, Brittany and me. Did I mention how much fun it was? So the weather sucked and because of it we missed most of the first quarter. But we had to eat the $80.00 meal that came with our tickets. Yes I said $80.00.
Things that are included with the ticket.
Dinner before game
they bring treats and drinks at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters
Dessert at half time
park in a special parking lot
Plus of course you get to make eye contact with the likes of Kyle Korver (I will just say Brittany, Brittany, Brittany) and the rest of the Jazz boys.
And last but not least you get to hear the people right behind you hollering stuff like
"Get back to the ghetto"
"Don, take your criminals back to the prison"
and other funny saying.
Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
I know I am looking so hot in these picture. In about a 72 hour period my lovely little girls managed to break almost every set of blinds in our house. They have been this way for a few months cause we have been trying to find the same ones we had. Neither Lew or I could find them anywhere, so I finally bought some curtains for the living room and the girls room.

At least these ones were still hanging, a few we had to rough neck together.
I have a few ideas for the ones below they don't look quit right.
But at least they aren't broken.

Jazz shirt

I was talking about the Jazz game I am going to on Monday. Kym wanted to go and I told her she couldn't "But I could wear my Jazz shirt"
Me"What Jazz shirt?"
Kym "I'll go get put it on"
first she came out in a purple shirt, then her Dad found his old Jazz shirt. So I took a picture. A few minuets later Devyn came over and needed her picture taken.
On a side note I am going to need a new camera every once in a while mine does this stripy thing.
This is where I spent yesterday, I did have a few heart pains but I think I have a touch of the flu. I feel better today, I hope no one else gets sick.

Kym's Birthday party

I think I better get on the ball cause Kym has started planning her birthday party. So don't plan anything for the whole month of April cause I think it is going to take the whole month to get it all in. So far she has started to plan the food, the decorations, and the plates and napkins.

First the food
Hummus pita pizza (She saw this in a cook book and decided it is Delicious)
Peachy sunflower (that does look good)
Oven fries
Easy Italian no-bake snack mix
mini chickpea cakes
soft pretzels
Sweet and spicy snack mix
Nachos ole
calzone-on-a-stick
Mexican-style rice and cheese
no-chop black bean soup
silly face pizza

We will not be having the following stuff because it is disgusting
3-cheese chicken and noodles
orange-spice glazed carrots
south-of-the-border mac and cheese
Italian broccoli with tomatoes
These are disgusting Mom stop typing them (she just told me that)

The guest list includes everyone she has ever met and their Mom's. Everyone in her class, but no one from the other classes.
It is to be a princess party or maybe a tinker bell party but it has to have princess plates.
We will be having it at her school park (I am guessing that is the play ground)

Lew's project

Lew has been working on this snowmobile jump all morning. He wants Blue to bring his over and give it a try. The plan- let it freeze tonight and try and make it bigger tomorrow. Yes he has to much time on his hands and it is only the second day home. I wish he would put that much effort into cleaning the house. I would never have to clean again.
