Devyn's eating habits

I am convinced Devyn is a vegetarian, which is not a bad thing. She does eat some meat but not a whole lot. She loves cheese and eggs so she is not a vegan. I have been observing her for a few months now and most of the time when I give her meat she takes a bit and spits it out. Today we had turkey sandwiches from Subway she ate everything but the turkey. I mean everything even some of Kym's bread.


Kym has also decided that when we eat fast food she has to have a side salad with it. Crazy kids.

I went to the DR. today and heard the babies heart beat. I love that. Next month we can try to find out what it is. I will love not calling it It any more that just seems mean. My kids have always been little stinkers and make us go in a few times before we can tell what they are. Devyn even fooled us for a few weeks (it was all me, the tech said he couldn't tell) but I was sure I saw a boy part.
I also got med's for my head and I am hoping it works. I feel bad for my kids when I spent two days in the closet and beg them not to come around me. (I am getting monster migraine's with this pregnancy. I have made a bed in the closet for this cause it is dark and cold. I am not crazy and spend time in the closet. Okay I am crazy but even crazies don't want to hang out in a closet)
The Doc also gave me a B-12 shot cause I am so tired. I don't know what was in that shot but I think Lew would like me to get one Daile. I have felt better this afternoon than I have felt in two and a half months. I actually cleaned a little bit this afternoon, did four loads of laundry and made a real dinner. My house still has a very long way until it is clean again. But if I feel like this tomorrow I may get at least find the floor in our family room.

Sorry still no pictures. I was going to get my camera last weekend but a migraine put me in the closet Saturday and Sunday.

My little flour, sugar, lettuce monsters

This past week the girls discovered the flour bucket and became flour monsters in like 5 minuets. I have to admit they were pretty darn cute covered in flour. I tossed them in the tub forgetting that water and flour make paste. They had paste in their hair most of the week. They also decided that the flour needed to be baked and put a few cups in the oven. Did I mention I was going to make cupcakes for Kym's class after they went to bed? Yes I had to clean the floor and oven before I could start.

A few days later they found the sugar bucket and this time they didn't put it in the oven and I caught them before they dumped the whole thing on the floor.


To top the week off I had a head of lettuce that was setting on the counter. I had put most of it into a salad but I was saving some to put on sandwiches later in week. I went outside to finish BBQ the steak and when I returned there was lettuce ripped into small pieces all over the dinning room floor.

Lew took over the punishing of the girls for this one and I think they will think twice before getting in to the food again. I don't know why kids listen to fathers better than Mothers?

As a side note flour feels alot better on the feet than sugar.

Our cat has a new name

The other day Kym was playing outside I could hear her yelling so I went to see what she was doing. She had her play rifle and was chasing the cat yelling.

I am going to kill you Barack Obama!! You get back her Obama!

I couldn't help but laugh. I thought Lew must have been calling our black cat Obama. He said he hasn't and laughed for a very long time. The cats old name was E.O. now it is Barack Obama.

We asked her later why she was chasing in the cat and going to kill it. She said it was a "dang coyote". We asked why she named it Obama and she didn't know.

The Perfect birthday

Yesterday was Kym's 5th birthday.

According to her it was the most perfect birthday ever!

It started out that we all slept in the got ready and went to Cedar city where we ate at McDonald's. The girls played in the play area for like ten minuets cause it was so busy.

Then we went shopping Kym was able to pick out her own birthday presents. She was thrilled about that. She picked out a Diego back pack, and four pairs of princess shoes, a Hannah Montana purse, and a small microphone.

Then we went to the discovery park. The girls had so much fun. Kym found a secret around every corner and Devyn climbed to the highest point. I had to go get her let me just tell you they didn't make that for a 5'6'' pregnant lady. I hit my head like 5 times and got a huge splinter in my knee. They loved it and want to go back soon.

Next on the list was watching the movie Hannah Montana. Both girls were so excited we were the only ones there so they clapped and sang along. Devy got a little restless toward the end of the movie.

Last we were suppose to go to the Chinese buffet. But Kym decided it was getting to late so we got our food to go from Panda express, visited Uncle Rhett for a few minuets. Then came home and blew out her candles ate a cup cake and went to bed.

But before Kymmie could go to bed she had to pack her Diego pack. In went a pair of princess shoes, a Hannah doll, a microphone. These are the things she is taking to Tennessee to celebrate her Grandma Ruby's birthday. (that is the Hannah movie plot)

Popcorn popping on the apricot tree

Kym is obsessed with "popcorn" trees. We can not pass one with out her pointing it out and yelling "popcorn popcorn popcorn!!"

A few weeks ago we were staying with Aunt Brittany and Uncle Jeremy. We decided to rent a movie from the Red box in front of Albertsons. Brittany got out to get the movie. Kym rolled down her window and told Brittany to get some popcorn too. I was thinking wow Red box sells popcorn. They didn't have the movie we wanted so Britt got back in. Kym wanted to know where the popcorn was. Britt said we have popcorn at home. Kym said no you were suppose to get it off the popcorn tree right there. She was very upset that we didn't stop at the ten trees between Albertsons and Britt's house.

Easter

Easter this year was not that big of a deal. Why you ask, I woke up Sunday morning and started getting ready for church. When my eyes went fuzzy. I have learned that when my eyes go fuzzy a migraine is not far behind. I was right goodbye Sunday goodbye Monday. Monday night my the migraine was gone but my head was fuzzy (not my eyes). I had fuzzy head for another day.

THANKS everyone for taking care of my kids. Even my Dad came to get Devyn cause she wasn't ready for church when Tempe was leaving. But Devyn being the girl she is got into her dress all by herself and Dad took her to Mom and she went to church. she was not wearing shoes. Mom came and got her a pair. Devyn is a bounce (bounce-if the car is moving a bounce is in it.)

Party of five!

I think every one knows but for those who haven't seen Kymmie in the past week. We are going to have another baby. It is still a looong ways off. I am due the end of October. I am a bit worried about being pregnant during the summer but at least I am not due in August or July like my Mother was with me and two of my sisters.

Kym is so excited she has decided that we are having a boy and his name will be Aidan. It is still to soon to know what we are having, I do hope it is a boy. But I would be happy with another girl too.

The good thing is that the other day we were at Aunt Brittany's. Kym, Karter and Devyn were in Karter's room watching the Disney channel well a few channels up from the Disney channel is TLC. Karter came running out and yelled we are watching surgery show. Britt and I ran in they were watching a baby story. At least we don't have to explain how babies are born now. I am sorry if your kid is in Kym's class and she teaches them how babies are born.

VEGAS BABY!!!!

It was so warm down there. I want spring here NOW! It didn't really look like a recession there, people every where. I was sleeping soundly but at about 2:30 in the morning when Mom, Tempe, Brittany and Terra decided to get a snack at the Studio cafe the wait was 20 minuets or longer.

The highlight of the trip was George Strait. But isn't he always the highlight of our Vegas trips? Everyone mark your calenders for May 27 and you too can be apart of the fun we were able to take part in.


In other Roundy news Kaylin is in the MTC. I talked to Lavee last night and she is still a little teary. I think that would be one of the hardest things for a parent to do. I know that it is only 18 months and it is what the Lord wants. Lavee said that when Raymond left for his mission she cried every day for two months. Finally Delin had to tell her he will be home he is not dead. After that she just didn't cry in front of Delin.:)

Our little Devyn fell and bumped the back of her head. She is fine now but it was the scariest injury one of my kids have ever had. Her eyes were fine but she just laid around, wouldn't smile, wouldn't talk. It was sad so I took her to the ER and she had a small concussion. I had to watch her really close for 12 hours and keep an eye on her for 48 hours. She is her old self now but the first 12 hours where hard.

An Animal for the Roundy house?

Lew was teasing us that he was going to buy miniature horses and cows to raise in the backyard. He changed his mind when he seen the prices. Kym didn't want horses or cows. Scroll down to see the animal Kym wants to keep in our backyard.

Kym wants a skunk that will spray us Daile. Her exact words were it could spray us every day before I go to school. I think the school would kick her out.
