Stringing Popcorn

I don't know how the old folks did it cause stringing popcorn sucks! It is messy you poke your fingers and the popcorn crumbles when you try to put the needle through it. So as you can see I only did three small strings of it. I had this grand idea that I would put a second tree in our family room and decorate it with strung popcorn and ornaments that our family had made. Well I am loving the hand made ornaments and I wish I had the patients to string more popcorn but I just can't bring myself to do it. So here is our family tree in all it's glory.

Don't ya love that it only has the popcorn on the top. I really didn't want the kids to have that scattered all over the house.

Kym did the coffee filter thing, I did the yarn tassels, Lew did the snowflake.

Kids made these pasta ornaments. I cut circles from cardboard boxes, spray painted them white, red, or green. Spray painted the bow tie pasta red and green.
Lew stole the crochet ornament from his mothers tree. The little thief. I made the string ball a few years ago, it sparkles in real life.

Lew made this one a few years ago, (it was from a kit he is not that crafty.)

I have a few more ornaments to add but my kids are tearing the house down around me.
